N1-butyryl-lysergic acid diethylamide, also known as 1B-LSD, is a novel psychedelic substance of the lysergamide class. 1B-LSD is closely related to LSD and 1P-LSD and is reported to produce near-identical effects.
Little is known about the pharmacology of 1B-LSD, but it likely produces its psychedelic effects by acting on serotonin receptors in the brain. 1B-LSD is named for the butyryl group bound to the nitrogen of the polycyclic indole group of LSD.
